New Fabric "Robe" Now Available

2026-02-21

It has finally arrived. A new fabric release!

We named it "Robe" fabric. It is positioned as the opposite end of the spectrum from Doll fabric.

※ The delivery from the factory arrived earlier than expected, so we prioritized the release of "Robe" fabric and postponed the auction. Our apologies.

Robe in a nutshell

It's "Miyabi fabric" with stain protection built in. In a sense, it's the strongest fabric we offer.

To recap:

  • Soft and fluffy feel — the same comfortable wearing sensation as Miyabi fabric
  • Wash-resistant — resistant to tap water chlorine and bleach, with 1.3 to 1.5 times the wash durability of other fabrics
  • Very difficult to see through — maximum thickness among tights fabrics, 120% concealment treatment, body hair is less visible
  • Velcro-resistant — repels Velcro
  • Color doesn't wash out in sunlight — matches mask color well even outdoors

Plus:

  • Black smudges are easier to wash out — handles stains that were difficult to remove with Miyabi fabric

This is an evolution that overcomes the weakness of Miyabi fabric, where black stains could become impossible to remove, causing real headaches for some customers.

※ Of course, there are limits. Please continue to handle it delicately as before.

Difference between "Robe" and "Miyabi"

So far, dozens of customers who visited us for meetings have tried to tell the difference, but no one has been able to.

Even I can only barely tell the difference when I compare them already knowing which fabric is which.

Trade-offs

We often see EC sites that deliberately avoid mentioning disadvantages, but we don't do that here.

  • First, sweat tends to build up. The fabric doesn't absorb sweat, so it accumulates inside. Please be especially careful if you use it in summer.
  • Unknown aspects due to being a new fabric — field testing is still ongoing. There may be disadvantages that even we don't know about yet. We never "stay silent about what we know," but there are things we "don't know yet." That's exactly why we tell you everything we know upfront.

If you have been satisfied with your current fabric, we recommend staying with your previous choice.

Future outlook

Since Robe combines Miyabi's softness with easier stain removal, it has taken over the role of Urara fabric. This is why we discontinued Urara production.

We will continue producing Miyabi. Miyabi may even complement some of Robe's weaknesses. However, Robe may become our main fabric in the future.
